Kathy Zappitello – ARSL Past President Kathy Zappitello reflects on how joining the ARSL Board gave her the support, connections, and teamwork needed to thrive in a small library.

Today we hear from Past President, Kathy Zappitello, on her experience with ARSL Board elections. Kathy says, “After presenting at the ARSL Little Rock conference in 2015, I ran for the board. I knew I had just met the most impactful people and felt called to join the synergy. Working in a small library is challenging. Having a team of people to connect with on a higher organized level allowed me to flourish professionally and helped me further organize my own library. You can’t do it alone. Teamwork makes the dream work!”
