Tanner Ames – Inspired by the annual ARSL Conference, Tanner Ames launched a local author festival and writing group, discovering a hidden community of published authors in his small town.

Today we hear from ARSL member, Tanner Ames with the Humboldt County Library- NV.  Tanner says “Every ARSL conference that I attend I am able to implement at least a few little things to my library.” The author fest being one of them. He said “I was really impressed with how many authors there were in Wichita, so I created a writing group and asked for interest. It turns out that in my small town, there are quite a few published authors, so we now have a local author collection and our author fest was a success!”
